52CCT February Stash

Hello everyone, it is the 4th week of February and over at the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge, it is a choice between a Technique or Stash Challenge. So for her last challenge for this month, Netta has chosen –

04 February stash

So we are going to be able to pull out our foils. I know that you have them lurking in your stash somewhere. You can use any type of foil – craft foil, go press foil, deco foil, hot stamping foil, gold leaf foil or even foil from your kitchen (some call it aluminium or tin foil). I you want to use foil from the kitchen … here is a video to help you with that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZkC_axbeUE

02 Wk4 Tech Stash

For my card, I used kitchen foil. I put large sized double-sided tape onto a sheet of cardstock and then layered the foil over this and smoothed it out. Then cut off the access and ran this whole sheet through my Gemini Jnr Machine with this embossing folder. While I had my Gemini running I also ran through a scallop circle die and plain circle die, then stamped this sentiment on the circle and mounted this on the card. This was done after I had run a black pen around the words on the embossed panel just to help the words to stand out a bit better.

Thanks for coming and looking at my Design Team project for the latest challenge over at the 52CCT challenge. I hope that you will come on over to our blog and participate in our challenge. Before you depart from my blog I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

Fixing an Oops

Hello everyone, yes I know an interesting title for a post but this card is doing just that. I was making the card for the challenge when I lost concentration for just a second and stuffed things up. So this image got put into my finished image box and waited.

Then along came this sketch #597 from Sketch Saturday and I was able to pull out this image again 😀

You see the oops part of my image was in the top section so by using my Circle Die and my Gemini Jnr machine I was able to crop and save what I had coloured. I tell you don’t drink your warm drink while colouring otherwise you can have a disaster. Just sayin!

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project. I am so glad to be able to still use an image that I spent time colouring with my Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils. Until my next post, I would like to leave you this last thought for now.

Never judge anyone because you never know what they are dealing with. People are good at hiding things.

Until next time,

52CCT February Theme

Hello everyone, today is the 3rd week in February and this means over at the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge we have a Theme Challenge. And Netta this month has chosen

03 February theme

This theme I think can be used in so many different ways. I love it when the challenge is so open like this.

02 Wk3 Theme

This adorable bear is “Christmas Teddy Cocoa” from Bugaboo Digital Stamps. I coloured him in with my Copic markers and used my White Opal Liquid Pearls for the fuzz around his Santa Hat. I matted each of the layers with Maroon Cardstock and left the rest of the card pretty simple.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my Design Team project for 52CCT. I hope that you will consider coming over to our blog and playing along with our challenge. Before you leave my blog I would like to leave you with this final thought for this post.

Until my next post,
Do something that makes you joyful.

Mothers Day Bird

Hello everyone, again I am here to share with you a Mothers Day card that I have made. I am trying to get as many as I can done before the deadline. I am donating them to our troops and they need to be sent to them so that they can make their way back to the recipients. So this is why I am doing these now and not in April.

02 12 Bird Mum Day

And this card started with the sketch #596 from Sketch Saturday.

The images on the card came from the stamp set “Flying By” from Uniquely Creative. I coloured both of these in with my Copic markers and fussy cut around them. This is a different sort of Mothers Day card but I like it. Not all Mothers are into pink and such.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project today. Before you depart my blog I would like to leave you with this thought for this post.

Look after yourself. You can be your own worst enemy.

Until my next blog,
Do what makes you happy.

52CCT February Colour

Hello everyone, today it is time for us to have some fun with colour. It is the second week of February and this means it is colour challenge time over at the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge. And this week Netta has chosen these colours for us to have fun with …

02 Feb colour

Netta wants us to have fun with Monochromatic Tones of Blue. This should be a lot of fun but also a challenge as well as sticking with just one colour palette.

02 Wk2 Colour

This ended up being a fun card to design. I got to play with a lot of different supplies in my craft room. I have used a stripes embossing folder for the background paper, the lacy strip across the middle was actually white to start off but I used 2 Distress Inks to colour it up with my makeup brushes. I stamped the word tree image with 3 different blue inks and ran my inks around the edge of the panel. Lots of fun to make but a simple design I think?

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my Design Team project for the Colour Challenge over at the 52CCT challenge. I hope that you will come on over and play along with our latest challenge. Before you depart my blog I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

2 Cards 1 Sketch Pt2

Hello everyone, today I am here to share with you a sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge in which I turned into 2 Cards. To see my other card please go here.

01 30 Mum

And here is the fun sketch that started this creative process, Atlantic Hearts Sketch #353

This sketch can be used in a different orientation as my first card showed but also for so many different occasions as well. Time to dive into our stash and find those wanted to use or forgotten stamps that are in our stashes 😉 I know you have them like me.

And if you are wondering, if you’ve seen my first card as well; yes I used the top and bottom of the cuts I did with the die. I thought why not? Didn’t want to waste either my white paper or the blue paper 🙂 Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card projects today. Before you depart my blog today I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

2 Cards 1 Sketch

Hello everyone, today I am here to share with you a sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge in which I turned into 2 Cards.

01 30 Fab Bday

And here is the fun sketch that started this creative process, Atlantic Hearts Sketch #353

This sketch can be used for so many different occasions and as you can see with my first card I actually turned this sketch on its side. I mainly did this because of the image that I wanted to use. It wouldn’t fit in the portrait orientation unless I moved the line almost to the bottom and then the sketch just didn’t look right.

And if you are wondering yes I used the top and bottom of the cuts I did with the die. I thought why not? Didn’t want to waste either my white paper or the blue paper 🙂 Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card projects today. Before you depart my blog today I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

Welcome February Quotes
