TMS #551

Hello everyone. 2 cards in 1 day – well actually the previous post for today was a scheduled post but this one was made this afternoon. Trying to run away from my pain so I am concentrating on something else :/

04 25 More Cake

So I went looking for a current sketch challenge that was happening and found sketch #551 from Tuesday Morning Sketches that I could play around with.

I loved this sketch because it gave me an opportunity to get rid of some of the strips of paper that I had leftover from other cards. These papers are from the same black and white pad that I used for a couple of my previous cards. I am slowly using this pad up which is a good thing.

The cupcake and stand stamps are from a magazine I got ages ago. The sentiment stamp is from My Favorite Things and the set is “Anything but basic Birthday sentiments”. This stamp set is becoming a fav of mine as it has wonderful sentiments. Each of the banner pieces I sponged with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink just so they would stand out from the background.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project. Just to let me know that you stopped on by today please consider leaving either a comment or a like, I would appreciate it. But before you depart my blog I would love to leave you with this last thought for this post.

This is true for any situation not just fitness. Because if you keep going you will be closer than you were before.

Until my next post,

April Technique for 52CCT

Hello everyone, here we are at the end of another set of challenges. We are up to a technique challenge over on the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge. This time around the technique is

04 April technique

And if you are wanting some help with this technique here is a video for you to look at. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDlhbw7t8ww

04 Wk4 Technique

And I did another version of this technique – I wanted to show off this “Christmas Cat” digital image from Bugaboo Digital Stamps. So I thought framing him with the herringbone would help for him to stand out. The sentiment I printed when I printed off the cat then I used my distress inks to give it a little colour and added some Love from Lizi Peel Offs to give it a little pop.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my Design Team project for the Technique Challenge over at 52CCT. I hope that you will come on over to the blog and see what the other designers have been up to and join in on the fun. Before you depart my blog I would like to leave you with this final thought for this post.

With everything going on in the world right now … we are pretty well off in this life.

Until my next post,
🙂 Tracy

Joint Bugaboo Challenges

Hello everyone. Yes, I am back with another project but this time it is a challenge which has combined 2 Bugaboo challenges together. One from the Catch the Bug Challenge and Stella Says Sketch but first onto the card.

04 23 Bug Bloom

As I said this card has come about because of 2 challenges and both from Bugaboo. This first is the Catch the Bug Challenge and this time it was a BINGO challenge

For the BINGO challenge I went with Flower, Bugaboo Image and Stitching. I did faux stitching using a pink pen. And then I used sketch #808 from Stella Says Sketch

It was a lot of fun combining these together I noticed that I didn’t put the sentiment in the same place I hope that this is ok. But I had already coloured and made stamped the sentiment before I saw this challenge, thought that it was still suited. The papers are from another partly used paper pack and I added some Nuvo drops just to add a little sparkle.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project. To let me know that you stopped by today please consider leaving a comment or pressing the like button. Before you depart from my blog though I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

ANZAC Day Poster: ANZAC Day Poster for printing.
This 2020 ANZAC is very different. No marches, no parades, no gatherings but we will still remember them. We remember those that have gone before but also that are serving even now.

Until my next post,
🙂 Tracy

Atlantic Hearts #365

Hello everyone. I was able to get into my card corner in the past couple of days. It was so nice to be able to get in there and actually be productive. So I took advantage and made a card for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

04 23 Day Bloom

All of the products I used on this card came from my stash and some of it I had forgotten that I had. The papers are from a partly used paper pack and the image is from a stamp set that I got from a magazine ages ago but haven’t used.

This card goes along with Kristie Marcottes Card Challenge of Black and White with a Pop of Colour.

Image may contain: possible text that says 'Join me for a card challenge *Black & White with a Pop of Color* Use hashtag #kristiescardchallenge'

and I used the sketch #365 from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

It was so much fun using up things in my craft corner which is in a bit of shambles at the moment with both my frozen shoulder and I am also on the move with my craft corner again.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project. Please let me know that you were here by either leaving a comment or liking my post. But before you depart from my blog I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

Have to remember this one and not beat myself up when I can’t do. A big shout out to anyone who is living with this.

Until my next post,
🙂 Tracy

April Theme Challenge for 52CCT

Hello everyone, today is the 3rd week of April and we are up to doing a theme challenge over at the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. And this time around we have

03 April theme

This is something a little different to use on a card. But I must admit that when I saw this come up as what we had to design with I knew what supplies I was going to pull out.

04 Wk3 Theme

What do you think? I didn’t do a forest as such but used a stamp that used branches to make a part wreath and in the same set was these 3 deer. I coloured a piece of paper with a spot of blue distress ink and a sponge tool; I adhered this piece to the gold layering paper. The sentiment came from a different stamp set then I popped this main panel up on some foam and added some Gold Nuvo Drops just to add a little bit of interest.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my Design Team submission for the Theme challenge over at the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge. I hope that you will pop on over to the blog and see what the other designers have been up to. Before you depart from my blog I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

April Colour Challenge for 52CCT

Hello everyone, here we are in the 2nd week of April. It always feels weird making Christmas cards when as you are reading this we are in the most Holy of weeks in the Christian calendar. Today is Easter Saturday the day before we celebrate Easter and for those who are of the Christian faith remember the biggest sacrifice ever known to man.

But anyway over at the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge, it is colour week. This time around we have these colours to play with

02 April colour

So we want to see your creations using these 2 colours. These are very traditional Christmas colours so I would think that you have something suitable in your stash.

04 Wk2 Colour

I had so much fun making this card. The paper behind is from a Christmas set but I have used it before for Valentines. I stamped out this little Santa and coloured him in with my Copics and I used my usual trick for the fluffy bits and used my White Pearl Liquid Pearls and dabbed it on and left it to dry. Then I cut the image out with my detail scissors and added him to the sentiment strip.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my Design Team project for the April colour challenge. If you haven’t already stopped by the 52CCT blog I would recommend going on over and looking at what the other team members have been up to with this challenge. Before you depart my blog I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

Until my next post,
🙂 Tracy

April Sketch Challenge for 52CCT

Hello everyone, can anyone please tell me where this year is going? Here we are at the beginning of the 4th month. But I get to keep playing along with wonderful challenges over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge. As you can see from my post title it is sketch time 🙂

2020 04

This has been shown as a square card and I don’t usually make square cards so I have transformed this sketch into a rectangle.

04 Wk1 Sketch

For me, this card is on the simpler side of style but I am still donating my cards and I don’t want extra postage to be a factor in them using my donations. But I am so glad to be working through Christmas paper pads that have been sitting in my stash for ages. I may be able to buy some new pads this year and not feel guilty about those ones in my stash 🙂

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my 52CCT Design Teamwork for this week. I hope that you will come on over to the blog and see what the other designers have made with this sketch. Before you depart my blog I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

If I’m not crafting you will usually find me with my nose stuck in a book. My favourite escapes.

Until my next post,
