52CCT August Technique Challenge

Hello everyone, here we are at the end of August. Can you believe that we are here already? I can’t or at least some of the time I think the year is flying other times I feel like it’s being dragged kicking and screaming.

But anywho we are in the 4th week of August and its time for either a Technique or Stash Challenge and this time around …

So it’s a technique challenge and we are being asked to make shadows. Now this can be achieved in any form either by making shadows on a background, main motive, greetings..  using stamps, stencils, embossing powders….you could also draw shadows yourself. So how you achieve it is up to you. And this is the card that I created …

08 Wk4 Technique

I chose to use a stencil and some distress inks to make my shadows for one of the main panels on my card. But then I also did the same technique on the jumper of my Penguin. I masked off his sleeves so that I could stencil this without it going where I didn’t want it too.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my Design Team project for the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge. I hope that you will pop on by the challenge blog and see what the other designers have been up to with this technique. And then I would love to see your creation shared on our blog. Before you depart my blog I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

Until my next post,
Be Kind to Yourself and Others.
❤ Tracy

  1. Tracy: you did well with the shadow technique challenge!!! The stripes and triangles (look like trees) were a great way to get the shadow effect.

  2. J’aime ton interprétation Tracy, elle est très moderne et ce halo plus clair lui donne de la luminosité, biz
