Card Project, Cards and Craft, Challenge Entry

Sending Hugs

Hello everyone. Today I am sharing with you a card that I made to just bring some joy to a resident in a residential facility. I have been sending cards to this place on and off for a little while now with a friend who works there. She tells me that these cards do bring some joy and smiles which is what I hope that my crafting does for those that receive something that I have created.

Anyway onto the card design; this card started with a sketch from Try Stampin’ or Not on Tuesday. This is sketch no. 538.

This is definitely one of my cleaner designs but these papers were so wonderful that I didn’t really want to do much to them. There is some gold embossing on some of the papers which I really love but it was this marbled paper that caught my eye as I was going through the paper pad. The sentiment is from an older set and I came across it as I was looking for sentiments to use on cards that are just uplifting. Everything was matted with some royal blue layering weight paper which helped to set everything apart. The only extra thing to the sketch that I added was the 3 Shimmering Rose Nuvo Crystal Drops in the top left corner.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card design for TSOT #538. I hope that you like what I have done with the sketch design. Before I go I want to leave you with this last thought for this post.

Until my next post,
Be Kind to Yourself and Others.

  1. You were right–the papers are the star of this card. A very classy interpretation of the sketch. Thanks for joining us this week at Try Stampin’ On Tuesday and hope you join us again soon.

  2. Love the beautiful patterned papers you chose – gorgeous! The sentiment seems so appropriate for friends or family you haven’t seen in awhile due mainly to the pandemic, but about whom, you still care. Thanks for joining us at Try Stampin’ On Tuesday.

  3. Tracy, what a perfect card to send to either a guy or gal who you want to make feel cared for! A wonderful interpretation of our Try Stampin’ on Tuesday sketch! The blue matting you chose really brings the card together with its many patterns. Thank you so much for sharing your card and creativity with us at TSOT!!! -Donna
