Hello Everyone. Today I decided to go diving into my physical stamp stash. I have so many and I just don’t use them. I seem to go down either a digital stamp that I have previously printed or no image at all. I am trying to find ways to get more space in my craft space so I have decided that if I am not going to use them then they can be donated to someone who will enjoy them.
But I am sure you know what happens when you start exploring your stash … yes, that’s right you find things that you still like to use. Anyway more on the treasures that I found later. I am here to share with you the card that was made with my finds. As with any of my cards this card started with a sketch and this one is from Stella Says Sketch #714.
It is such a simple sketch and usually, I would use a Bugaboo image but my stash was looking at me and I ended up making this card.
I decided to make a sympathy card as my stash is lacking this type of card and you never know when you may need one of these … unfortunately. This stamp has been sitting in my stash for quite a while and I am unsure who made it but I still love it. The papers that I used are from a huge Recollections pack that has so much paper in it I think that I will split some of it up and give it away to someone else.
Thanks for stopping by and looking at my card project. I really appreciate all of the comments on my blogs. Before you go I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.
Until next time, spend time on what makes you happy.
Can you believe that we are already in September!
It is the first week of the month which means 2 things
1. we have a new Hostess for the month and this time it is Myrna
and 2. it is sketch week.
If you have seen my other blog you will know how much I love sketches. They are one of my favourite things to use in my craft room. And this is the sketch that we have had fun playing with
and this is the card that I came up with using this sketch.
Oh, I am so in love with these gnome stamps. This time around I decided to put him somewhere other than the snow. I am really happy with the little scene that I made.
Thanks for stopping in and looking at my Design Team card. I hope that you will come on over to the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown blog and play along with us. Before you go I would like to leave you with the last thought for this post.
Until Next Time,
This evening I am bringing you a card inspired by a sketch from the crew over at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I had a lot of fun creating with this sketch.
When I first saw this sketch the first thing that came to mind was a polaroid picture in the middle so that is the direction that I have gone.
For this card I used a polaroid die that I have in my stash to create this adorable focal piece. The sentiment I made up on my computer and printed it then used the die. Isn’t the polar bear adorable he is “Winter Bear” from Some Odd Girl. Unfortunately, he is a retired image but I still love using him.
The background paper I made with my Distress Inks and a Various Circle Stencil from Scrapmatts. It is very unusual for me not to use a commercial made paper on my cards but it was also nice to get out my stencils and have a play with some inks.
Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card creation for Tuesday Morning Sketches #518. They are giving away 2 guest designer spots for sketch #520. I also appreciate all of the likes and comments on my posts. As always before you go I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.
Until Next Time Stay Crafty,
I really love this image from Bugaboo because it combines 2 things that I like … flowers and teapots. I don’t have much luck with growing flowers myself but I love them and in the past couple of years I have been liking the taste of tea more. I am slowly getting into the brewing from leaves, not just a teabag.
Anywho … this card was inspired by a sketch from Stella Says Sketch Challenge and this is it
This sketch made me dive into my dies to see what shapes I had and I found the one that I used which hadn’t seen the light of day in years. And this is the card that I made
The image that I used is called “Flower Teapot” from Bugaboo Stamps. I have coloured this image in with my Polychromos Pencils. And cut the image out with die from Spellbinders – Nestabilities Labels Two. To make the border I traced around the die because the next die up made a mat way too large for the card. The papers I used are from Kasiercraft and a paper pack called “Blae & Ivy”. I used these papers because I thought they suited the teapot theme.
Thanks for stopping by and looking at my creation for the Stella Says Sketch Challenge. I really appreciate all of the like and comments on my posts. Before you go as always I would like to leave you with this final thought.
Until Next Time,
Today I am sharing with you a card that I have gone down the clean and simple route with. This is definitely not my usual style of card. But of course this card started its life with a sketch and it is #578 from Sketch Saturday.
And this is the card that I made with this sketch.
Isn’t this dapper bear just adorable! You can see that I have flipped the sketch to suit the orientation of the image. He is coloured in with Copic Markers. And the papers are from a very old My Mind’s Eye Paper pad that has been sitting in my stash part used. I think that I am going to try using up this paper pad by searching through my sketch archive.
Thanks for stopping by and looking at my creation for Sketch Saturday. I appreciate all of the likes and comments. Before you go I would like to leave you with this final thought.
Until Next Time,
Yes, you are getting 2 cards from me today. I am using the same sketch from the previous blog post but I have turned it sideways to make a portrait card this time around. I told you that I love reusing sketches. And just to remind you here is sketch #521 again.
And here is my 2nd interpretation of this sketch.
The cute Santa Panda is an image that I have had for ages and I can’t remember where I obtained him from. But his dimensions were just right to be a part of this card. I love being able to play around with sketches and find new ways of using them.
Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project. Another Christmas card to add to my stack that is slowly growing. I appreciate all of the likes and comments on my posts, thanks for taking the time to do this. Before you leave I would like to finish off this post with this last thought.
Until Next Time,
MOJO Monday #521
Handmade Christmas cards are one of my biggest projects each year. One year I made all the cards that I needed for family, friends and work colleagues that I almost swore off of making cards any more. SO after that episode, I now make Christmas Cards all through the year. I looked at the box where I keep my completed cards and realized that I am way behind just because of life throwing a few curveballs.
Now if you have visited my blog before you know that I LOVE sketches. And once I saw the new one from Julee over at Mojo Monday I knew the theme for my creation. And this is the sketch that we have had to use for inspiration.
Isn’t sketch #521 just great. I can see myself using this quite often. The light leaves in the background threw me for a little while but then I came up with this card.
I like how it turned out but I would do it slightly differently next time that I use this sketch because I re-use sketches all the time. This card is quite unusual for me because I usually use images on my cards and apart from the holly in the sentiment that is it. The papers that I have used are from a combination paper pack from Kasiercraft that has been sitting in my Christmas stash for quite a while.
Thanks for stopping in and looking at my project. It is good to know that another Christmas card has been completed. Also thanks for all of the likes and comments I really appreciate it. Before you leave I would like to have you ponder on this last thought for this post.
Until Next Time,
MOJO Monday 521
