52CCT February Theme

Hello everyone, today is the 3rd week in February and this means over at the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge we have a Theme Challenge. And Netta this month has chosen

03 February theme

This theme I think can be used in so many different ways. I love it when the challenge is so open like this.

02 Wk3 Theme

This adorable bear is “Christmas Teddy Cocoa” from Bugaboo Digital Stamps. I coloured him in with my Copic markers and used my White Opal Liquid Pearls for the fuzz around his Santa Hat. I matted each of the layers with Maroon Cardstock and left the rest of the card pretty simple.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my Design Team project for 52CCT. I hope that you will consider coming over to our blog and playing along with our challenge. Before you leave my blog I would like to leave you with this final thought for this post.

Until my next post,

52CCT February Colour

Hello everyone, today it is time for us to have some fun with colour. It is the second week of February and this means it is colour challenge time over at the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge. And this week Netta has chosen these colours for us to have fun with …

02 Feb colour

Netta wants us to have fun with Monochromatic Tones of Blue. This should be a lot of fun but also a challenge as well as sticking with just one colour palette.

02 Wk2 Colour

This ended up being a fun card to design. I got to play with a lot of different supplies in my craft room. I have used a stripes embossing folder for the background paper, the lacy strip across the middle was actually white to start off but I used 2 Distress Inks to colour it up with my makeup brushes. I stamped the word tree image with 3 different blue inks and ran my inks around the edge of the panel. Lots of fun to make but a simple design I think?

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my Design Team project for the Colour Challenge over at the 52CCT challenge. I hope that you will come on over and play along with our latest challenge. Before you depart my blog I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

52CCT February Sketch

Hello everyone, can you believe that we are already in the 2nd month of 2020! Since it is the beginning of a new month it means that over at the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge we are getting to play along with a new sketch. And our hostess for the month Netta has chosen this sketch for us to play with

What a lot of fun can be had with this sketch. I must admit that I had the most trouble with choosing what to put in the diamonds! But this is what I did …

02 Wk1 Sketch

I found these cute images in my Christmas Stamp section and thought that they would work well and they did. I kept things pretty simple this time around only because of my shoulder restrictions at the moment but I am really happy with how it came out.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my Design Team work for this month. I hope that you will come on over to our blog and play along with our challenge. And as always before you depart my blog I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

Until my next post,
Keep following your path.

52CCT January Theme

Hello everyone, and welcome to week 3 of January with the team from 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge. With it being the 3rd week of the month it is time for us to have a Theme Challenge. Our hostess Andreja has chosen

03 January theme

What a wonderful theme to play with this week. And I think that this could be used in so many ways.

01 Wk3 Themer

As I started looking through my Christmas paper stash I found this piece that was big enough for my background paper. I knew that I had these present stickers in my stash; previously I had used these on Birthday cards but they fitted in so well with this theme. It just goes to show you that your images can have multi-purposes. πŸ™‚ Just by adding a Christmas sentiment they become Christmas presents.

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my Design Team project for our Theme Challenge over at 52CCT. I hope that you will come on over and play along with us. Before you go from my blog I would like to leave you with this thought for this post.

52CCT January Colour

Hello everyone, welcome to week 2 of January challenges. With it being week 2 we are going to be having fun with colour this time around and our host Andreja has chosen these ones for us to play with.

This is such a wonderful set of colours to play along with. When I saw this combo I knew exactly what I wanted to do for it.

01 Wk2 Colour

So what do you think of my choice? The papers that I have used are from a Kasiercraft paper pack that is Australian inspired papers. The Kookaburra image is from Make it Crafty and is a digital image so I can size him for any project. The sentiment I made on my computer and then coloured it in with my distress inks so it wasn’t so stark.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my Design Team project for our colour challenge this week. I hope that you will stop on by our blog and play along with our challenge. But before you go on over there I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

Always

Until my next post,
Keep going at your pace; it is enough.

52CCT January Sketch

Hello everyone, welcome to 2020 and the fun and challenges with the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge Design Team. As it was in previous years each week of the month will bring a different type of challenge. And each month we will have a new host and for January we have Andreja L. So to kick off the month we have a sketch to play around with

You can see that this card sketch is formed in a square. And this is the card that I made using this sketch.

01 Wk1 Sketch

As you can see I have turned it into a rectangular card design. I don’t make square cards as they cost so much more to post here in Australia. But I am still really happy with what I came up with because I can still see the sketch design in my card.

I had a lot of fun making this card and colouring in the Australian/Warm Weather Christmas image for this card. It is so nice to find something that represents another side of the Christmas celebrations. I also got to use up some of my leftovers to make this card as well because I had these papers sitting in my Christmas crafting box.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my 1st Design Team project for 2020. I hope that you will join in the fun that we have in store this year. Before you depart from my blog I would like to leave you with this final thought for this post.

Until my next post,
Always enjoy whatever you may have to do.

Teddy Stocking

Hello everyone, this card is the last in the series of cards made for the Catch The Bug: Holiday Critter Chaos challenge. This challenge has been going on since the 14th of December.

12 24 Teddy Stocking.JPG

And this card started with the Holiday Critter Chaos: 7th Day.

I didn’t realize that it mentions using the Bugaboo Freebie Critter. I hope that my card will still be acceptable for the challenge. I had printed out a whole bunch of critters at the beginning of the challenge and had been slowly colouring them in as I needed. And this very cute Teddy with his non-traditional coloured accessories was just waiting to jump onto a card. To tie my bow I used the fork trick and it worked quite well. But I am going to have to look for a fork with longer prongs – OP shop here I come πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project. I am happy that you stopped in on my blog today; before you go I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.
