Today I am sharing with you a card that I made the other day.
The image on this card is actually one that I used for my Wedding 18 years ago.
I haven’t dug it out of my stamp stash for years. But it just grabbed me the other day when I was looking through my stamps.
I coloured the image in with my Copics and I am so happy with how it turned out. I think my colouring has improved. But I know that it can improve with a lot more practice. And also collecting more of these fabulous pens.
Here is a close up of the image coloured in and a list of the Copics that I used and also the stamp that I used as well.
I don’t know what it was about yesterday but I was in a total experimenting mood. I wanted to try a technique that I saw on Youtube called – Letterpressing. But using my Cuttlebug, some Tim Holtz Distress Inks and a Embossing Folder I already own as the main components. And it works!! I am happy with the end result but I want to try and make the colour a little more solid next time around.
I also used a Bow Template, from the PaperCrafting Magazine, to hand cut out the Green Bow which I also embossed the pieces and edged with Distress inks as well.
And here is the finished card. This card was so much fun to make I am thinking that I might copy this layout to make a couple more different cards. Just to see how I can change it up to suit different occasions and different recipients.
But I just want to say thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog and looking at my creations. And to let me know that you stopped on by today and what you thought of my creation, why not leave me a comment below. I love to hear what people think of my creations – feedback is how I improve my craft.
Hugs & Blessings Always
Challenge I am entering this card into:
Shopping Our Stash Weekly Challenge #134: Miss You
I have to say that this post is a two-fold Thank You.
Of course the card is a Thank You card but there is a second Thank You and that is to my Hubby.
This card has been taken with our new camera 😀
I think the photos are so much more clearer than our old camera.
So without further ado here is the cards photo –
I know you probably can not tell a lot of difference but I can. When I took this I didn’t have to fuss around with the camera it just took the picture without any dramas. So thanks for the new camera Hubs.
But anyway onto the card info.
The card was made using the sketch from Feeling Sketchy. The Topiary trees are an image I have had forever and a day and I can not for the life of me remember where I picked it up from – of course it is one on my Digi pictures. Love those things or should I say addicted to my Digi Images.
The image was coloured in with my Copic markers and then I distressed the image with my Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I have also used this ink around the main background papers and the Small Banner shaped ( from CC Designs – All That Scraps) sentiment and this sentiment is from my AmyR Stamps Many Thanks Sentiment set from All That Scraps. I absolutely love these sets and I am saving up to buy some more.
As you can see I have repeated the sketch layout on the inside and I have also used another AmyR Stamp this one from the Thank You Sentiments Set. I am really please with how this card turned out. I will actually be putting a lot of my cards out for sale on a stall that the craft group that I attend are holding at our local shopping center tomorrow. Wonder if any will sell?
Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog and looking at my creations. Don’t forget that if I mention any products in my posts, and you are interested in buying them, I will always link to where you are able to purchase them if they are still available. And to let me know that you stopped on by today and what you thought of my creation, why not leave me a comment below. I love to hear what people think of my creations – feedback is how I improve my craft. And my final thought for you today is that you find yourself doing something you love.

Feeling Sketchy Challenge #65
Sweet Stampin Challenge: Shabby Chic
I am finally back – there have been many reasons for my absence – but I hope I am back into the swing of things.
While I have been away I haven’t been totally idle – that just isn’t me.
I have been working on my knitting & my braiding projects.
I am working on a Dr Who scarf for a friend of ours – a surprise 😀 – this is going to be a long project. I will post a picture of the finished project & also hope to get a photo of the recipient wearing it as well.
But now onto my card project – the first of 2 🙂
Isn’t the Bunny gorgeous! Well I think so. He is actually a Freebie Digi from Stamp Fairy. I coloured him in with my Copics – I will include the colours I used below for your reference. I am really pleased with how he turned out, I feel like my colouring is improving. The papers that I used are from Authentique – Free Bird Series: Poised & Warmth. The Thank You & Merci stamps I have had in my collection for ages – I actually forgot I had them . But the challenge over at Shop your Stash made me go digging in my pile – and I also used my oldest Digi which of course is Bunny with Tulips.
Copics I used:
Bunny: Inner Ears – E35, E37
Tummy – E000, E00, E11
Nose – R20, R22
Body: E44, E47, E49
Flower: G17, G28, YG17
V09,V12, V15, V17
