Good Friends Great Life

Hello Everyone,
I know don’t faint I’m back with my 2nd post for this week.
But I have been having some fun doing a Colouring Class with Alyce from Kit and Clowder.
This is the class from June 2016 and it was so much fun. I wasn’t sure what to expect going into doing my 1st ever online colouring class but the effort that Alyce has put into her classes is stunning.  I am not 100% proficient in using Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils but I have always loved using pencils since I was a little girl.  I loved how the Character “Just Roll with It” from the Paper Shelter turned out.
But then I started to do the background and this is where things went wrong.  I totally stuffed up the trees and had to find a fix – I like the fix but
not 100% but at least I didn’t throw the whole thing in the bin like I would have a couple of months ago.  This is due to Alyce’s influence in encouraging all of her Clowdies to keep going and keep learning even through your mistakes. She is one of the best Facebook Group mangers out there – always encouraging people to keep trying and remember each crafting journey is that of your own. You only have to be better than YOU were yesterday.  So here is my final colouring actually turned into a card 😀

I am so happy with the card. It already has a home to go too and I hope my friend likes receiving it.  And if your interested in the best Colouring – Water Colours/ Alcohol Markers/Pencils or Mixed Media Classes – then please click the link in my side bar to be taken to Kit and Clowder. I can highly recommend these and there is so many to choose from.

Thanks for stopping by to have a look at my project. I would love to know that you stopped by so if you could leave a like and even a comment I would appreciate it.  I truly hope that you find some time just for yourself to do whatever you want to do.

Roses for You

Hello Everyone,
Today I am sharing with you a card that I made the other day.
The image on this card is actually one that I used for my Wedding 18 years ago.
I haven’t dug it out of my stamp stash for years.  But it just grabbed me the other day when I was looking through my stamps.

I coloured the image in with my Copics and I am so happy with how it turned out.  I think my colouring has improved.  But I know that it can improve with a lot more practice.  And also collecting more of these fabulous pens.

Rose Stamp with Copics UsedHere is a close up of the image coloured in and a list of the Copics that I used and also the stamp that I used as well.

I don’t know what it was about yesterday but I was in a total experimenting mood.  I wanted to try a technique that I saw on Youtube called – Letterpressing. But using my Cuttlebug, some Tim Holtz Distress Inks and a Embossing Folder I already own as the main components.  And it works!! I am happy with the end result but I want to try and make the colour a little more solid next time around.

I also used a Bow Template, from the PaperCrafting Magazine, to hand cut out the Green Bow which I also embossed the pieces and edged with Distress inks as well.

Someone SpecialAnd here is the finished card. This card was so much fun to make I am thinking that I might copy this layout to make a couple more different cards. Just to see how I can change it up to suit different occasions and different recipients.

But I just want to say thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog and looking at my creations.  And to let me know that you stopped on by today and what you thought of my creation, why not leave me a comment below.  I love to hear what people think of my creations – feedback is how I improve my craft.

Stand Tall Soon

Hello Everyone,Well it’s been awhile since I have done any blogging but I have been crafting.
I have been doing some projects on my new loom – see previous post.
And I have also been doing some card making and been trying to also finish off some of my UFP (UnFinished Projects)

But here is the latest card that I have made.  Well actually this is post is a 2 for 1. I also made a Bookmark/Tag that goes with the card.

Gwen Get Well CardAs you can see I used the Digital Image 1920’s Gwen from Some Odd Girl on both the card & the Bookmark/Tag.  I coloured her in with my Copic Markers and also used some decorative chalks as well.  I am really pleased with how both of these projects have turned out. And as always I also did up the inside of the card & the back of the Bookmark/Tag.

Just for You

Hello Everyone,
Yes I know very unusual to have me post this often but I had the opportunity to do some crafting.

Today’s card I am really happy with.
I followed along with a Some Odd Girl Wednesday Colour Along Live Video of Woodys Mae which you can find here at Ustream.
I saw this particular video at the beginning of January this year and I loved it so much that I saved to buy the Copics that I didn’t have.  And yesterday I picked up my Happy Mail which included the missing Copics for this image.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank Kristy (the Copic Wonder Lady & Designer of Some Odd Girl Stamps) for doing these videos I have learned so much.

And without further ado….
Woodys MaeAs I said before I am so pleased with how this turned out.  The Digital image is Woodsy Mae from Some Odd Girl.  I coloured this whole image with my Copics which is very unusual for me.  For the cloud background I followed a tutorial on the Some Odd Girl Blog, it turned out better than I was expecting.

The papers are all from my stash.  I am trying to be very good and not buy anything paper wise new for awhile so that I whittle down my stash of supplies.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog and looking at my creations.  To let me know that you stopped on by today why not leave me a comment below.  I love to hear what people think of my creations – feedback is how I improve my craft.  And finally my prayer for you is that you find yourself doing something you love.
