June Theme Challenge for 52CCT

Hello everyone, here we are the 3rd week of June already. Where is this year going? So much to get done between now and Christmas. So over at the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge it is theme week and our hostess Becca chose …

03 June theme

I must admit that when I saw this theme I thought hmmm I don’t have much of that in my stash as in Australia we are in the middle of a heatwave usually on Christmas Day. But this is the card I made …

06 Wk3 Theme

The main snowflake image and I used it in making the background paper as well is a digital image from Bugaboo Digital Images and it is called “Snowflake Word Art” and is available here from their store. I printed one of these to be the main image and then little ones on the background. I used some distress inks to colour it all up and stamped some little bitty snowflakes that I found on another stamp set. I added the gold Nuvo drops as just a point of difference.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my Design Team project for the Theme Challenge over at the 52CCT blog. I hope that you will drop on over to the blog and see what the other designers got up to with this theme. Before you depart my blog though I would love to leave you with this final thought for this post.

Until my next post,
🙂 Tracy

Sketch Saturday 614

Hello Everyone, oh what a week it’s been. So much upheaval and the rollercoaster hasn’t finished! So to have some time out from everything I spent some time at my craft desk.

06 16 Sk Sat 614 B

This card was inspired by a sketch from Sketch Saturday #614.

I think that I could have printed my Digi image “Big Books Girl” from Bugaboo Digital Stamps but I wasn’t sure if she would fit on my tag ðŸ˜ģ Oh well I will know for next time. But this is one thing I love about Digi images that I can have them at any size that I wish to suit a project I am doing. I added 3 Nuvo drops; I have to learn control of the bottle still but I love using them will definitely be adding to my collection in the future.

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my card project. Before you depart my blog I would love to leave you with last thought for this post.

I have said this many times and have meant this. At this point in time I can carry on, other times not so much.

Until my next post,

April Technique for 52CCT

Hello everyone, here we are at the end of another set of challenges. We are up to a technique challenge over on the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge. This time around the technique is

04 April technique

And if you are wanting some help with this technique here is a video for you to look at. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDlhbw7t8ww

04 Wk4 Technique

And I did another version of this technique – I wanted to show off this “Christmas Cat” digital image from Bugaboo Digital Stamps. So I thought framing him with the herringbone would help for him to stand out. The sentiment I printed when I printed off the cat then I used my distress inks to give it a little colour and added some Love from Lizi Peel Offs to give it a little pop.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my Design Team project for the Technique Challenge over at 52CCT. I hope that you will come on over to the blog and see what the other designers have been up to and join in on the fun. Before you depart my blog I would like to leave you with this final thought for this post.

With everything going on in the world right now … we are pretty well off in this life.

Until my next post,
🙂 Tracy

Joint Bugaboo Challenges

Hello everyone. Yes, I am back with another project but this time it is a challenge which has combined 2 Bugaboo challenges together. One from the Catch the Bug Challenge and Stella Says Sketch but first onto the card.

04 23 Bug Bloom

As I said this card has come about because of 2 challenges and both from Bugaboo. This first is the Catch the Bug Challenge and this time it was a BINGO challenge

For the BINGO challenge I went with Flower, Bugaboo Image and Stitching. I did faux stitching using a pink pen. And then I used sketch #808 from Stella Says Sketch

It was a lot of fun combining these together I noticed that I didn’t put the sentiment in the same place I hope that this is ok. But I had already coloured and made stamped the sentiment before I saw this challenge, thought that it was still suited. The papers are from another partly used paper pack and I added some Nuvo drops just to add a little sparkle.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project. To let me know that you stopped by today please consider leaving a comment or pressing the like button. Before you depart from my blog though I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

ANZAC Day Poster: ANZAC Day Poster for printing.
This 2020 ANZAC is very different. No marches, no parades, no gatherings but we will still remember them. We remember those that have gone before but also that are serving even now.

Birthday Ewe

Hello everyone, it’s Day 7 of the Bugaboo 10th Birthday Bash and the last day. I have had so much fun creating with critters all week 🙂

Birthday Ewe Trio was the Freebie and can be purchased here

I had actually already purchased this image a little while ago. Because I use this image and a lot of the “Ewe” images for friends of mine that love either knitting, crochet, weaving or spinning their wool fibres. So this card will come in handy for my stash.

01 15 Bug Birthday Day7

I am really pleased with how this one turned out. It is on the simpler side of my makes but I had a lot of fun colouring in the image with my Copic markers. And one of my friends will get a kick out of this card.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project. Before you go from my blog I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

Happy Bird-day

Hello everyone, here is Day 6 of the Bugaboo 10th Birthday Bash. What an interesting set of colours to play along with.

I didn’t use a cow on my project but I did use a sweet image from Bugaboo.

01 15 Bug Birthday Day6

Unfortunately this sweet Bird/Chick image is no longer available in the Bugaboo Digital Store. But you will find some fine feathered friends to make yours. I coloured in this image with my Copic markers and used a birthday embossing folder on some aqua paper and layered everything in this green paper.

Thanks for stopping on in and looking at my card project. Before you depart my blog I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

Why do roosters look so neat? Because they always have a comb!

Until my next post,
May you find time to be crafty today.

Birthday Laughter

Hello everyone, yes another project completed for the week of Birthday celebrations over with the crew from Bugaboo. Day 5 – Make Us Laugh

I must admit that this type of challenge I always find challenging 😀 But this is what I came up with

01 15 Bug Birthday Day5

With using the image “Chicken Soup” I was going to do this as a Get Well card but then I realized that it had to be a Birthday card so the saying at the top is how I fixed this 🙂 Because I still liked the joke that I came up with. And I had these Birthday stickers in my stash so I decided to add a few to this project.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project with a laugh. Before you depart my blog I would like to leave you with a final thought for this post.

Birthday BINGO

Hello everyone,
Yes, another post for the Birthday bash over at Bugaboo. And this is Day 4 Birthday Bingo.

01 15 Bug Birthday Day4

Can you tell which line in the Bingo I used?
It’s the 3rd column: straight up and down – the only change I made was the gems – I didn’t have so I used pearls instead. (Hope this was OK) The image that I used this time around is Circle Sentiments – Birthday Ewe. I have coloured this image in with my Copic markers and I am using more of the Birthday paper pack that I found in my stash. And to cut out the image and my layering circle with my thin dies I was able to use my new Gemini Jnr Machine. I treated myself to this machine after all the problems I have been having with my shoulders. It was expensive (especially in OZ) but I looked at it as a long term investment in my crafting future – just using it on this card I am sooooo happy that I made this purchase. I can use my dies again ((HAPPY dance))

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my BINGO card project. Before you depart my blog I would like to leave you with this final thought for this post.

Maybe laughing stock isn't such an insult? :) #funny #cows #farms
Such a better way to look at this saying!

Until my next post,

Bookmark for You

Hello everyone, challenge 3 for the Birthday bash over at Bugaboo.

I wasn’t quite sure what to make for this challenge but I loved the Molly Moo’s garden image from the previous challenge that I decided that I would make something with this to add to the card in the previous post.

01 15 Bug Birthday Day3

A lot of my friends are readers so I decided to make a bookmark with this saying and another image from Bugaboo; this time I used Book Stack. These images were coloured this time with my Copic markers. I will laminate this before I give it but I know that trying to photograph through laminate is a nightmare 🙂

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my project. Before you depart I would like to leave you with the last thought for this post.

Sketch for Birthday Celebration

Hello everyone, this post is for the Day 2 of the Birthday Bash celebrations for Bugaboo Digital Stamps. And as you can see it is sketch time; doesn’t it remind you of a pair of overalls? At least that’s what I first saw.

An interesting sketch to play around with.

01 15 Bug Birthday Day2

For this sketch I had a little fun with the image “Molly Moo – garden” I decided that she would be harvesting balloons 🙂 She is coloured in with both markers and pencils. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project. Before you depart my blog I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.
