CAS Christmas

Hello Everyone,
This time around I am here to share with you a CAS Christmas Card.
I realized with all the dramas that have been going on in my life this year I am way behind on my Christmas Card making.  I definitely do not want to end up with the bulk to do at the end of the year.  So I jumped online to see what was happening at my favourite challenge sites.

I loved the sketch this week over at the CAS(E) this Sketch site and then I found that Christmas Cards all Year Round had a challenge to include flowers.  So I dug through my stash of Christmas Supplies and found what I was looking for. And this is the card I came up with.

Christmas 1 April 2017

All of the supplies are from Kasiercraft Christmas Carol Paper set and Embellishments Pack.  With the sketch I made it in Landscape and I loved this Poinsettia Wreath and the sentiment from the Embellishment Pack.  Sometimes it is nice to craft simply but it was quite hard for me not to add more layers and stuff.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by my Blog to have a look at my project. I would really appreciate it if you would leave a like and even a comment.  My wish for you is that you find time to do something that you truly love.

Until Next Time,
My Name

Aussie Christmas Greetings

Hello Everyone,

Today I am excited to share with you my card project.  I am really happy with the colouring with my Copics that I achieved.  I tried some new colour combos and I attempted to do some creases and folds.

Gumnut Flower Girl MiC July 18 20As you can see by the date range it took me a couple of days to complete as I was quite hesitant about attempting the creases and folds on her dress.  But on Sunday I plucked up the courage and I am really pleased with the results.  Then today I finished her off an put her onto a Christmas Card which is where I first intended her to go.  This year for Christmas I wanted to make some cards that suited our warm weather during the holiday season and I love this image from Make it Crafty.  So here is the card project that I made.

Gumnut Flower Girl ChristmasDoesn’t she look fabulous on a Christmas card.  All of the papers for this card came out of my stash of papers from last Christmas, I just love using up things from my stash.

So I am going to enter this card into a couple of challenges and this is how my card fits into those challenges:

Feeling Sketchy – This is a little obvious but I used Card Sketch #96 for the layout
Christmas Card Challenges – Challenge #34 –  They had a photo inspiration as an optional extra and I was able to be a part of that 🙂
Shopping Our Stash – Challenge #160 – Can’t Put it Down or Away – Well for me it has to be my Brother Scan-N-Cut – I used this machine to do the following items on the card: Cut the papers for the bottom layer for both the inside and outside of the card, the greeting space on the inside of the card, the rectangle behind the Gumnut Flower Girl, from the gold paper was cut both the snowflake and the scalloped rectangle behind the sentiment and of course last but not least the image itself 🙂Make it Colourful – Colouring Challenge #11-  The Easy challenge: Shades of Blonde and the Harder Challenge: Creases and Folds

Now I just want to say thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog and looking at my creations.  And to let me know that you stopped on by today and what you thought of my creation, why not leave me a comment below.  I love to hear what people think of my creations – feedback is how I improve my craft.

Crafting Christmas #2

Hello Everyone,
I am back after some time away with my family and also moving my craft area to a bigger area. I am so happy to be in my bigger area will have to see if we have fixed the problems of this space from last time around.

Any way I am here to share a card with you. I it made with an image that I coloured up awhile ago and am only getting around to making a card now.

Meljen Elf ChristmasThe image is actually made up with 2 digital images from Meljen’s Designs and they are Santa’s Little Helper and Christmas Tree. The sentiment tag was made with my new Die-namics Traditional Tags STAX from My Favorite Things.  And then to top off my using NEW stuff I made the star with my Sizzix Star Dies.

I had some fun putting this card together as this is the first card from my new space. My space still needs a little rearranging but I am happy to have more area to spread out even if I am in our garage.

But I just want to say thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog and looking at my creations.  And to let me know that you stopped on by today and what you thought of my creation, why not leave me a comment below.  I love to hear what people think of my creations – feedback is how I improve my craft.

Blue Christmas

Hello EveryoneToday I am sharing with you all a card I am very happy with.
I colored up this image of Candy Elf from Make it Crafty. Isn’t it just cute.
Candy Elf colored
I am so pleased with the way my colouring came out.  I know you don’t usually see Red & Grey candy canes but I am really pleased with the results.  Then when it came to making the card I wanted to place this image onto some not so traditional Christmas papers.

Candy Elf cardI found this double sided paper from Kasiercraft in my stash which seemed to fit nicely. It’s called Christmas Spirit and I think I picked this Christmas 2012.   And I also had these gold laser stickers in my Christmas stash as well.  So card crafting for Christmas 2014 has already started.

But I just want to say thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog and looking at my creations.  And to let me know that you stopped on by today and what you thought of my creation, why not leave me a comment below.  I love to hear what people think of my creations – feedback is how I improve my craft.  And my final thought for you today is:  That I hope you find yourself doing something you love.

Giggle Christmas

Hi Everyone,
Today I am sharing with you a card I made using Giggle Fairy from Some Odd Girl.
I really love this image but this time I have turned her into a Christmas Fairy.
Hench the post name 🙂

Giggle Christmas CardSo I now have another card done for Christmas. I just hope I get all the ones done that I need to complete.

But anyway about the card.  As I said this image is from Some Odd Girl (love those stamps) and I decided to use Giggle in a different setting.  I was inspired by some of the posts on the Some Odd Girl Blog during Halloween.  I wanted to keep this card as simple as possible because I wanted to have Giggle center stage.

Giggle Christmas I coloured her in with my Copic Markers and added some Diamond Stickles to her wings and put a Christmas Star in her hair.  The papers are from my Christmas Stash of materials.  I think I got these papers either last Christmas or the previous year.  But I still like them.

This time around I will be entering this card into a few different challenges.
Some Odd Girl Blog Month Challenge: Speech Bubbles
Mojo Monday Challenge in the Some Odd Girl World

Elf Tia TriFold

Hello Everyone,
Well can you believe it is only 62 days till Christmas Morning?
I can tell you that when you are a crafter who loves to give handmade things this isn’t a lot of time to finish the projects that I have planned.

But this morning I did get another card made.
Elf Tia TriFold CardThis Tri-Fold card I made with the assistance from my new Scor-Pal board.  This board which I bought yesterday made making this card so much simpler than trying to do it with a ruler and trying to get the creases in the correct position.  The image stamps are by Some Odd Girl but this time I got them off of the front of my Australian Papercraft Essentials magazine.  I usually buy this magazine but there was no way that I was going to miss out on these cute images from one of my most favourite stamp companies.  I also used my other purchase as well – the Sizzix Bigs Die of a Christmas tree.  I am so glad I bought this because I know it will get a lot of use for my Christmas creations.

Elf Tia Card Sides Close UpHere is a close up of the sides of the card.  I am happy with how it turned out despite using the wrong ink for the images and only realizing this while I was colouring in the facial features of Tia 😦 but I was able to use some pencils & chalk to finish the image off. The sentiment stamps came from AmyR’s Christmas Card Words Set. Love how these turn out each time; I need more …. Just sayin!  The papers that I used are from Kasiercraft’s Twig & Berry 6X6 paper pack.  Love using papers from paper packs because the choice of which papers that go together have already been made for me.

Christmas Goodwill

Hello Everyone,
I made this card this afternoon using the sketch from the latest
“Australian Simply Cards” issue 54
I love using sketches as my starting point for making my cards. They let me concentrate on bringing everything else together.
Angel WishesThe image is a vintage image that I love using on my Christmas cards.  My papers that I have used on the image are actually from my stash of Christmas papers that I had last year.    It is a 6 1/2″ paper pad from Kaisercraft and it is the Twigs & Berry Collection.  The scalloped edge at the side of the card is actually from the paper pack.  So at least now I have another of my Christmas cards made for this year. 🙂

Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog and looking at my creations.  To let me know that you stopped on by today why not leave me a comment below.  I love to hear what people think of my creations – feedback is how I improve my craft.  And finally my prayer for you is that you find yourself doing something you love.
