Here I am with the 3rd card from this set. I had so much fun using one of my colouring in pages that I am definitely going to do this again in the future. And just to remind you again here is the photo of the 3 cards together
This 3rd card uses the last piece of the page which was along the bottom of the page It also suited to used in a portrait orientation for this card and this is the card up close
I decided to sink the colouring in section to the base of the card and have mounted the green side panels on foam to give it a little dimension. Then came the problem of adding the sentiment; I didn’t want to add a solid shape because I didn’t want to cover up my colouring so I used some clear acetate and added this across the 2 panels and added silver holographic circle stickers around the sentiment to hold it onto the card and around the card to tie it all in.
I decided to add this one to the Cute Card Thursday Challenge of celebrating as well
Thanks for taking the time to look at my card project. I really appreciate the likes and comments that you leave on my blog posts. Before you go I would like to leave you with this thought
The Christmas card that I am sharing today is a little on the simpler side but I am actually liking it a lot. I don’t usually go for this simple but being challenged can push you in different directions. So since this is week 2 of the month it is time for a colour challenge over at the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. Our host Alison has given us this combo to play with
and with this as my inspiration this is the card that I made
My Cuttlebug got a bit of a work out making this card first for the cutting of the stars and 2nd for using an embossing folder that I got from a card making magazine last year. To give this simple design a little more interest I added some small holographic silver stickers.
I hope that you will consider coming over to the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge and play along with our latest challenge. Thanks for stopping in to look at my Design Team project. Before you go I would like to leave you with this thought
I chose this quote because of the floods that have been happening in the northern part of the state I live in. The new beginning hasn’t even been able to start yet because there is still so much uncertainty with the weather. I pray that the clean up can start soon and people will know the way forward from here.
Until Next Time,
Well hasn’t December crept up on us suddenly!! If anybody can tell me where the rest of 2017 disappeared too I would love to know. I haven’t uploaded anything in a little while … sorry about that. Been busy with end of school year events and now our Church and our other groups are starting to have their break-ups as well.
Of course the crafting hasn’t ceased but has decreased in the past couple of weeks. I have been doing a bit more weaving, which I’ll share my latest a little bit later, and my ever present crochet. I am still working on my latest project even though its a simple pattern its taking me longer cause I am trying to finish so many other things.
But anywho … onto why most of you stopped by … my card creation
I love this image but I am unsure where it comes from I have had it for so long and my record keeping wasn’t as crash hot back then! 😉 There are several cat lovers on my Christmas card list and I think any of them would get a kick out of this one. This time around it is coloured very simply but playfully. I matted the image once complete onto some cookie image paper from my stash and made a border top and bottom using some brown paper and some wavy scissors.
This card is going into these challenges

Shopping our Stash Challenge – I like to move it!
and now My Weaving!
Yes I finished a project a woven scarf to be used as a Secret Santa Present – I hope who ever gets it likes my efforts
I made this on my little Sample-It Loom by Ashford using my new Vari-Dent Heddle. This allowed me to combine both a fat yarn on the outside edge of the scarf and a thinner yarn in the middle. I am really happy with the results.
Thanks for stopping by and looking at my 2 different creations. And as always I would love to leave you with this thought before you go:
Have a Happy Crafty Fun Kind of Day
Hello Everyone, I am so late getting this card up but here in the southern hemisphere we are in Spring and this season is looking to be a stormy one. The kinds of storms we get here are ones with lightning and lots of rain. So when these threaten we have to shut down all non-essential electrical appliances – unfortunately that includes my computer. So I have only had this opportunity before another storm is predicted to come our way.
But any-who: onto the main reason for this post, my card creation.
This card was totally inspired by the Color Throwdown #466 of Plum, Olive and Rust. Unfortunately I don’t have those exact colours but I tried to stay within the colour families. I decided to get out my fish scale stencil and have a play with two of the colours and then used the 3rd colour to make the sentiment layer. I hope that this is acceptable for the challenge.
It was so good to drag out 1 of my many stencils and have a play around. I made another card also using these colours but I wasn’t 100% happy with the results. But I still had fun with my stencils. I forgot how much fun this can be; I’m going to have to visit some of the old techniques and some new ones for using with stencils. This playing with colours can result in some interesting backgrounds that can be turned into or used partly on cards.
Thanks for stopping by and looking at my creation. And now I would like to leave you with a thought before you leave:
