I am back again to share my 2nd card from my 3 card colouring in page set which I started to blog about in my previous blog post. Here is the picture of the set of cards together
This time I am using the right side of the page to make this card and this is the card
The backing paper I decided to make myself because I couldn’t find anything that I liked. So I found some grey paper and edged it with some Distress Inks just to give it a bit more interest to it. Then I used my Darkroom Door Stamp ‘Torn Text’ stamp but something went wrong with the stamping but I still liked it because it looked like aged. And I made this card for the Time Out Challenge
Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project. I appreciate all of the likes and comments that my blog posts get. Before you go I would like to leave you with this thought
Until Next Time,
I know that a lot of people out there love colouring pages for fun and relaxation. I know that I do; it’s an easy craft to take with you almost anywhere. I decided to get two enjoyments from my colouring in activities by using what I had done and using them to make cards with. Today’s card shows this with a set of 3 cards.
and here is the first card up close
I cut this panel 1st from the colouring page because I knew the exact card that I was going to make with this image. I thought that this pair of birds would make a lovely anniversary card. I didn’t matt this image as I would have had to cut too much of my colouring away to make it fit in. I had this small heart background in my stash and thought that this would help set the anniversary theme. Then in my ribbon box I found this ribbon which I thought suited as well and this is where I left the decorations except to add the Happy Anniversary Sticker onto the ribbon.
When I went to upload this card I found that Cute Card Thursday had uploaded their latest challenge
And they have asked us to Celebrate with them as it is their 11th Birthday. But you can interpenetrate this theme any way that you would like to. So I am celebrating the love of two people. Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project today. I really appreciate the likes and comments on my blog. Before you go I would like to leave you with this thought
Until Next Time,
I actually got to make a card. But mind you now my craft desk looks like cyclone/twister came following behind me. My mind was just all over the place while I was working on this project. Usually I am quite clean – maybe its because I have sat down before this to try and craft but my foot has been too sore to continue. So maybe I was panicked thinking I may not be able to finish.
But I was able to finish … and this is the finished card
I am really happy with how this turned out but as always when I am coming back to card making after being away for awhile I start with a card sketch. So to start this card I went to some of my favourite challenge blogs to see what sketches are around at the moment. I found this one below from Freshly Made Sketches
When I saw this sketch I knew the image that I could use with this sketch. The image that I chose was one that I coloured from a Colour to Calm book that I finished while I have been laid up with my broken toes.
It is nice to use the images that I have been colouring in those type of books for another type craft as well. I coloured in the image with my Faber-Castell Polychromos. This card I kept quite Clean and Simple but I am really happy with how it turned out.
Thanks for stopping in and looking at my creation. Before you leave I would like to leave you with the following thought:
Yeah this is my nights at the moment. I can’t get comfortable – my toes don’t like being under or even in any type of sock and some of the nights have been cooler – so I haven’t been able to get comfortable.
Have a Happy Crafty Productive Kind of Day
