Today the card I am bringing to you is featuring one of my favourite characters -Sunbonnet Sue. I have been in love with her since I was a little girl because she seems to be able to do everything. Today she is doing a little sewing.
To start the card I went looking on my favourite sketch sites and found Sketch #358 from Freshly Made Sketches which looks like this
Once I found this sketch I went through my 6X6 paper pads and found one from Kasiercraft called Needle and Thread. To cut the papers into circles I used my stitched circle dies from Uniquely Creative. The backing paper is a Royal Blue by Quill; I used my scalloped circle die to make the small circle elements seem a little more substantial. My Sunbonnet Sue type image called Sewsun (retired image) from Bugaboo I coloured in with my Faber-Castell Polychromos.
Thanks for stopping by and looking at my project. And as always before you go I would like to leave you with this last thought
I sitting here typing this and I am listening to rain on a tin roof. It is such a soothing sound – I hope to spend time just sitting reading, possibly crafting, drinking tea and listening to the rain.

Today I am sharing with you a Christmas card made with my spinning friends in mind. We spin with a lot of different fleeces/fibres including Llama. So this will suit someone from my group.
The challenges I have combined are 52 week Christmas Card Throwdown Technique Challenge: Colouring and at Sketch Saturday Week #533 is Choose a previous sketch – I have chosen #316 which first appeared June 2014
For the sketch I have worked out the measurements in centimetres and they are written on the image these are for the main elements and then for the mats I added 2mm to each side. The Llama image from Just Me Digital Stamps on Etsy. I coloured in this image with my Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils. I am trying to get better at using this medium and I am practising with these a lot more.
The papers that I have used for this card are from Kaisercrafts’ Merry & Bright 6X6 paper pad. The mats are made from maroon card stock plus some gold paper for the image just to help set it off a little more. A Christmas bauble and sentiment comes from the coordinating embellishment pack.
Thanks for stopping by and looking at my project. Before you go I would like to leave you with this last thought:
I truly wish that this was the complete answer to everything it would make things so much easier. But crafting in some form or another does help.
