TSOT no.467

Hello everyone, today has been so windy outside that I have retreated into my craft space because this weather is playing havoc with my health 😦 So going into my craft space is a diversion tactic for me – get my mind onto something else other than my health. I decided that I would make some cards. Some I can share now but some will be coming up in design teamwork. So onto one that I can share now.

07 27 TSOT 467

And this card started with a sketch from Try Stampin’ On Tuesday #467.

Isn’t this a fun sketch to play around with. With this sketch came an optional theme of making a scene. I decided to go with the optional theme as well because I had started colouring up this image and just added a few more details. The gum tree to the left and the dunny (toilet) are digi images from Make it Crafty who are no longer in business but I still use these images because I still like using them. The scene has been coloured in with my Polychromos Pencils.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project. I hope that you are having a great day. Before you depart my blog I want to leave you with this final thought for this post.

Even on my bad days I try to find the good … even if it is a little harder sometimes.

Until my next post,

Clouds with Silver Lining

Hello everyone, I am here to share with you a card that I have made for the latest Stella Says Sketch challenge. With my shoulder the way that it is I am never sure when or for how long I will be able to craft so I make the most of it when I can. So yesterday when I was feeling OK I searched out a favourite sketch challenge to see what I may be able to use. And this is the card that I was able to craft.

11 30 Rain Bear

I had coloured this image (April Showers by Bugaboo Digital Stamps, unfortunately no longer available) a little while ago. And this is the sketch #720 from Stella Says Sketch Challenge.

To the image, I just added the extra raindrops and flurries to put him in a rain shower. I cut out the image with a die with my Cuttlebug and then cut around the image with my scissors to make the backing layer as I didn’t have a suitable die to do this. And then I found this sentiment from another set of stamps that I thought suited my image and this finished off this card.

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my card project. I am grateful for all of the likes and comments that my posts have been getting. Before you go I would like to leave you with this quote to ponder on.

Tulip Vase

Hello everyone, today I am actually bringing you 2 cards made with the one image from Power Poppy. I haven’t done this to an image for a while but this image just cried out for it to be done.  Here is a photo of the 2 cards together and then I will concentrate on one card at a time with a close up of the image.

09 25 Vase Tulips

But this card actually started with a sketch from Sketch Saturday #582.

You can see how I have used this sketch with the halves of the picture. I flipped the sketch just so that it suited the 2nd side. This image was coloured in with some watercolour paints onto some rough watercolour paper that I put through my printer to get this image. The image is called “Tulips in Hobnail Pitcher Digital Stamp Set” and it is still available. You can also buy it as a clear photopolymer stamp set as well. I love images from Power Poppy they can be used for so many different occasions. This was my first time using watercolour paints since I was in high school.

Here is the Happy Anniversary Card just by itself.

I didn’t have a die that came near the sketch so I used the curliest one that I could find. I matted each layer with maroon card stock and added the Happy Anniversary sticker from my stash. The 3 hearts were on the same sticker sheet so I added them to the top right and that finished off this side of the image 🙂

Thanks for coming to my blog today and looking at my card project. I hope that you like what I did with this sketch. I am grateful for all of the comments and likes on my posts. And as always I would like to leave you with this image to ponder on before you go.

Rose Hill.

Until next time, find something that you love and do it!

Feel Better

Hello everyone, another card for the Stella Says Sketch challenge just because I had time and I had the supplies in front of me 🙂

09 20 Feel Better

Yes, this is the same paper pad from my previous post. The Kasiercraft paper pad was still sitting on my desk so I thought why not make a 2nd card using the same supplies. The sentiment circle is a part of the pad but the sentiment is from the “On the Mend” stamp set from Lawn Fawn, which is available here, so are the 2 cute images. I also did a little bit of paper piecing which I haven’t done in ages.

And just to remind you here is the Stella Says Sketch #715

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project. I am glad that you decided to drop on by my blog. Before you go I would like to leave you with this last image to ponder on.

Until next time, do something that you love,
🙂 Tracy
