1 Sketch 2 Cards

Hello everyone, today I am participating in a fun challenge put up by Kristie Marcotte from The Best Thing in Life are Pink. These challenges are purely for fun and to keep us crafting during this weird time we find ourselves in.

These are the 2 cards that I crafted

05 13 Butterfly Combo

Both of these two cards were made using papers from the same paper pad which has been in my stash for years. Instead of using 2 different images though I decide to use the same stamps for both and just change up the colours used. The colours of the butterflies then helped me choose the layering colours that I used – Blue for the male and purple for the female – but I know people from both sides that would go for the other colour as well 😉 So I now have 2 cards for my Birthday stash.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project, I had a lot of fun using up items from my stash and looking at my stamp stash to find something that worked for both. Before you depart my blog I would love to leave you with this last thought for this post.

Until my next post,
🙂 Tracy

Live It Up Birthday

Hello everyone, it is time to play around with a new sketch. If you have been around on my blog before you will know how much I love using sketches in my card crafting. Over the past couple of weeks, I have been going through some images that I have previously coloured in and I am trying to use these on my projects.

This wonderful tiered cake image from Power Poppy Stamps called “Layered Cake Digital Stamp” was sitting in my box of already coloured stamps. And when I saw this sketch #350 from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge I knew that I was halfway to making a card.

Because I wanted this image to be the star of this card I kept the rest of the colours on the card quite simple. Plus I am trying to use up some of my started 6×6 paper pads so that I can buy some new ones.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project. Before you depart from my blog I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

Until my next post,
Look after yourself – first
Then others.

Candle Trio

Hello everyone, another Christmas card for my growing collection. It feels weird working on next years collection when we haven’t finished this one but I’m not complaining. This card is actually the combination of 2 challenges.

This is the card that came from the combination of
Daring Cardmakers Shining Lights

and then the sketch #345 from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

The candle stickers have been sitting in my box for a number of years; wonderful to see them being used at last. I am really happy with how these two challenges came together. Found the Peace on Earth chipboard piece in my stash as well and coloured it in with some gold ink. It is so good to be using my stash for my crafting.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project. Before you go I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

Until my next post,
Have fun reading a book.

52CCT November Sketch

Hello everyone, can you believe that we are already in November? I certainly can’t believe that we are already here. But anyway onto the challenge over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge. And since this is the first week in November we have a sketch to play around with.

52CCT 2019 11 Nov

As you can see this card is done as a square card. And I don’t make many square cards in my crafting so I have made an A6 sized card. And here it is.

Trying to photograph cards with gold elements especially large ones can be tricky. But apart from that, I am really happy with how this card has turned out. When I make this design again and I will when I am able I think that I will put larger stars on the top of the trees.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my Design Team project. I am really appreciative of all the likes and comments that my posts have been getting. Before you go from my blog today I would like to leave you with this last thought to ponder on.

Aussie Birthday

Hello everyone, a birthday card with some Aussie friends on it. I have a wonderful paper pad from Kasiercraft that I am slowly using up because I love it so much and don’t want it to disappear quickly. This is the card I made with it.

10 06 Kooka Birthday

This card was inspired by a card sketch by the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge. Their sketch TMS#523 started this card off. And this is that sketch

I had a lot of fun creating with this sketch. I think that it will end up in my favourites pile for me to reuse at some stage. The 6X6 paper pad is called Open Road by Kasiercraft it is Australiana themed and I may have more than 1 pad in my stash 😉 It is unusual to find a paper pad for my country.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project today. I appreciate all of the comments and likes on my posts. Before you go I would like to leave you with this last thought to ponder on.

Until next time, make the most of the life you are living,

Baby and Bear

Hello everyone, the card that I have for you was made for the Catch The Bug Challenge. I am super pleased with how the card has turned out.

09 25 Its a Girl

The Catch the Bug Challenge is the September Bingo Challenge, these are fun to participate in because you have so many options.

For my card I went straight across the bottom. Even though this is a retired Bugaboo image I love using her as she is adorable sitting with her teddy friend. The papers that I used are actually from a card crafting magazine that I got quite a while ago but was sitting on my desk. The sentiment sticker has been sitting in my stash for ages but the gold stripes are actually new to my stash from a company called “Love From Lizi“. I love these but postage from the UK is a killer to the land of OZ – I got these when Lizi was offering free postage so I only had to pay for the product.

Thanks for coming on by my blog to have a look at my card project. I appreciate your visit and all of the likes and comments that I recieve on my posts. Before you go I would like to leave you with this thought to ponder on.

Nice Cup of Tea

Until next time, find something that you love and go do it!

Hobnail Tulips

Hello everyone, as I mentioned in my last post I made 2 cards with the same image from Power Poppy. Well here is the other card from that pair.

09 25 Vase Tulips 2

As I also mentioned in the last post this card started with a sketch from Sketch Saturday #582. And here it is again for your reference.

I have used the same die that I used on the previous card to make the swirl but I have only adjusted it a little to fit on the card. This time around I have used a Get Well Soon sticker from my stash. The paper that I have used on both cards comes from that large stash of Recollections Black and White Paper Pad it gives a little bit of pattern without overwhelming my watercolour panels which I wanted to be the focal point.

Thanks for stopping into my blog and having a look at my card project. I want to also say thanks for all the comments and likes on my blog I really appreciate it. Before you go I would like to leave you with this last thought to ponder on for this post.

Until we meet again, always remember that you matter,
❤ Tracy
