Christmas Time, Digital Stamps

Mojo Monday no.540

Hello everyone. I was able to get into my craft space yesterday but have only had time now to upload the 2 cards that I made so there will be a 2nd post coming after this one. But each card is for a different challenge.

This one is actually a double challenge we have a sketch challenge #540 from Mojo Monday but also a challenge from Kristie – Christmas in July.

I was happy that Kristie chose to have a Christmas in July challenge because I signed up for “a digi a day in July”. This is with a digi company called Kinda Cute by Patricia and this was one that I received. I coloured in the image with both my Polychromos Pencils and Copic Markers. I didn’t have any spare cardstock to make a slimline card so I chose to make one of my A6 landscape cards. I think that you can still see the sketch in this card.

Thanks for stopping in even though I am cutting it short for the Mojo challenge. Before you leave my blog I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

Until my next post,
Be Kind to Yourself and Others.

Mojo and Kristie

Hello everyone, sorry for not being around much. My health has been a trial this past little while but I was able to get back into my card making space and I had some fun making some cards.

Kristie Marcotte has a new challenge up at the moment using a sketch from Mojo Monday and if you have been to my blog before you know that I love using sketches in my card designing. And I love the sketches from Mojo Monday. I don’t follow their sizes exactly because I am using Australian card bases which are different but you can see the original sketch in my finished card.

And this is the sketch that we got to use in our designs, Mojo Monday #539

Do you know how hard it is to photograph gold elements! The strip across the card is actually 2 pieces of gold washi tape but no matter which way I put it I couldn’t get it to show up properly. 😦 The image I used is an old image from Meljen Digital Stamps but I still love using it for Baby cards because you can make it for either a boy or a girl. I decided to go with a boy this time because of the background papers I chose.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project. Before you depart my blog I would love to leave you with this thought for this post.

Until my next post,
Be kind to yourself and others.

Sketch for Mum

Hello everyone, another card completed for Mothers Day.

01 29 Mum

This time I used the sketch from Julie at Mojo Monday #529.

To make this card I got to use up some of the papers that have been sitting around in my stash since last Mothers Day. I had also printed this greeting last year but didn’t get around to using it but it suited this sketch perfectly. It is so nice to be using up stuff that has been hanging around my craft space for so long.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project today. Before you depart my blog I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

Not so much with card crafting but definitely other projects.

Until my next post,

For You

Hello everyone I loved the sketch from Mojo Monday so much that I decided to make another card using this sketch. I told you that I love using sketches for my card making.

And here is another look at Mojo Monday #528

MojoSketch528_450

The papers that I used to make this card is from the same pack that I am trying to use up. And the cupcake image from Bugaboo Digital Images (which is now retired but more can be found here) was coloured with a combo of my Copic markers and my Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils. Both the paper and the image have been sitting in my piles waiting to be used on the right project; I was also able to use some of my twine as well.

Thanks for stopping on by my blog and looking at my card project. Before you depart from my blog I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

Until my next post,
Look after yourself.

Sending Prayers

Hello everyone, another card using my stash supplies. This is going to be a regular in my posts this year as I want to use up what I have or donate it because just looking at some of the stuff is not conducive to being creative. Anywho onto the card project …

01 11 Sending Prayers

This image I coloured with my Polychromos Pencils while my Daughter was attending an Art Class but I had never turned it into a finished project. When I put this card together I was following this sketch #528 from Julie at Mojo Monday

Some of my elements are different but I was working with the supplies that I had. Seeing this finally on a card makes me very happy. I am sure that the perfect person for this card will come across my path.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project. I am glad that you stopped on by before you depart I would like to leave you with this last thought to ponder on.

Natural, White and Gold

Hello everyone, yes I am back card crafting and writing posts again despite my shoulder. I have been told by the professionals around me that I am not to baby my shoulder and to use it despite the pain it is causing at the moment. So I am doing what I love to do … craft!!

Anywho onto this card project. This card was inspired by 2 challenges – one a card sketch and the other a colour challenge. And this is the card that I made

11 23 Gold White Brown

And these are the 2 challenges that I am entering. First off the sketch from Mojo Monday #527 –

and then the colour challenge with The Daring Cardmakers – Natural, Gold and White

Taking the inspiration of the Natural I decided that I would use papers that depicted the natural environment – like browns and leaves and then I added in Gold and White elements. This paper pack has featured in a couple of my cards lately because it has been sitting on my desk from that last time that it was used. I hope that you like my interpretation of the theme.

Thanks for stopping in on my blog today. I hope that you find it both fun and maybe gets some inspiration as well. I really appreciate all of the likes and comments that my posts have been receiving lately. Before you leave my blog let me inspire you with this quote I found.

Only Jesus is worthy to be praised :)

Until my next post,
Keep moving forward always.

Butterfly Birthday

Hello everyone, I loved the look of the sketch that Julie made from Mojo Monday that I decided that I had to attempt to make a card even despite my shoulder restrictions at the moment. And this is the card that I came up with

11-21-butterfly-birthday.jpg

And this is the sketch #527 from Mojo Monday that started this whole card making session.

MojoSketch527_600

My card ended up being a little bit different but it’s only missing the bow because I used washi tape instead of ribbon as I couldn’t find anything that would suit. I was going for a more masculine type of card – I think that I succeeded but I’m not 100% sure. What do you think? These papers have been in my stash for such a long time waiting for me to find the right project for them.

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my card project today. I appreciate all of the comments and likes on my posts. Before you go I would like to leave you with this last thought to ponder on.

Until the next post,

Joy and Laughter

Hello everyone, I had the opportunity to make some Christmas cards following along with some sketch challenges. Because you know how much I have them! And this is another card following along with another sketch from one of my favourite sketch sites.

10 10 Joy and laughter

This card followed along with a sketch from Mojo Monday #524 and this is it.

All of this came from pieces that were leftover from other Christmas card creations. I love sketches that help me to do this. I have used some Washi tape for the diagonal stripes and then edged them with some wavy gold stickers just to help them stand out.

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my card project. I am so appreciative of all the likes and comments that my posts have been receiving of late. Before you go I would like to leave you with this last thought to ponder on.

Christmas Crafting Continues

Hello everyone, when the end of September rolls around most card crafters thoughts turn to Christmas Cards and all the ones that they haven’t made yet. I thought that I was going quite well but with life getting in the way I am behind. So I decided to use a new sketch from Poetic Artistry (Mojo Monday #523) to make a Christmas card.

09 20 Christmas Wishes

And this is the sketch that gave the inspiration

I have been making Christmas cards all through the year this has been helped by being part of a design team 😀 But I am still behind especially with donating some of my cards as well. The papers that I used are from Kasiercraft and it actually finished off a paper pad! I am so happy to be finished, now I can start on another one in my stash. My circles are different sizes to those mentioned in the sketch because these are the ones that I had in my stash already cut so I used them up because at least they were circles 🙂

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project. I am glad that you decided to drop on by my blog today. Before you depart I would like to leave you with this last image to ponder on.

Until next time, do something that you love,
❤ Tracy

Sketch Sideways

Hello Everyone,
Yes, you are getting 2 cards from me today. I am using the same sketch from the previous blog post but I have turned it sideways to make a portrait card this time around. I told you that I love reusing sketches. And just to remind you here is sketch #521 again.

mojo-521.jpg

And here is my 2nd interpretation of this sketch.

08 25 sketch flip

The cute Santa Panda is an image that I have had for ages and I can’t remember where I obtained him from. But his dimensions were just right to be a part of this card. I love being able to play around with sketches and find new ways of using them.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project. Another Christmas card to add to my stack that is slowly growing. I appreciate all of the likes and comments on my posts, thanks for taking the time to do this. Before you leave I would like to finish off this post with this last thought.

Until Next Time,
Tracy B
