card sketch, Christmas Time, Greeting Cards

Peace On Earth

Hello Everyone,
I told you in my previous post that I had 2 cards to upload today and here is the 2nd one. So yes it is again for the CASe this Sketch #268 with Chrissy and the Color Throwdown #489 combination.

This time around though I decided to make a Christmas card because that is one of the things that came to mind when I saw the colour and picture combination.  Here in the southern hemisphere we have a very warm Christmas and strawberries feature on many a pavlova. So here is my card
Peace On Earth.jpgUnfortunately I couldn’t find a strawberry picture to add to my card but I was really happy to use this very colourful patchwork Christmas tree from OddBall Art Co on Etsy. This is one of their older digi stamps but it is still a favourite of mine because I have a lot of friends who love playing with fabric so this image is great for their Christmas card.  The tree is coloured in with my Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils and I have gone over each section with Zest-It to smooth the colouring out. The papers are a variety of papers from my large stash of Christmas stock.

Thanks again for stopping by and looking at my project. I am so glad to have another one of my Christmas cards finished. I have fallen behind with everything that has happened since Christmas last year.  And as always before you leave I wish to leave you with is thought:
"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10 (Scripture doodle of encouragement)

Peace On Earth

Hello Everyone,
I told you that I would be back for a 2nd post. I am sitting at my dining room table trying to get this done before my foot hates being inside the “Moon Boot” too much. So this post is going to be short and sweet.

This is one of the digital stamps from the Wreath: Boxwood and Cranberry set.  I liked this set because it is different from a lot of other Christmas stamp sets. I again used my Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils to colour in the image and brushed over the image with my Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I didn’t really like the starkness of the white and this I think finished it off nicely.

Again I am entering in the Power Poppy and PageMaps Combination Challenge:

this time I chose to use the January 2018 Square Map
I hope that you like my interpretation of the sketch. As I said in my previous post now that I have been introduced to PageMaps I will definitely be back to look at the coming designs.

Once again thanks for stopping by my blog today. Before you go of course I need to leave you with this thought:

So, so true! I hope you don't, like me, stand there pushing or pulling, when the sign, not five inches from my nose, says otherwise! Plus...you get to read all the lovely messages your Pin friends (like Pen friends!) leave you here!!Enough said! Except You are never too old for Garfield and He often makes a lot of sense …. Just saying.
