For Robyn

Hello Everyone,
I made this card for the wonderful Robyn from the Spinners and Weavers group it is her Birthday tomorrow and I am going to get the other members to sign it for her.

03 13 Extra Icing

This card started with a sketch that I have already used but I loved it so much that I wanted to re-use it and here it is

Stella Says 705

To make this card I searched through my stamp set because I wanted to make a card with a baking theme because Robyn besides loving fibre she likes baking. And sometimes we are lucky and she brings in her creations for us to enjoy.

This stamp came from a stamp set that came with an older Creative Stamping Magazine. I had actually forgotten that I had this stamp set so I have left it on my desk to see if it can spark more card making. The papers that I have used are from an older Kasiercraft paper pack called Nan’s Favourites Collection.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project. I really appreciate all of the likes, comments and visits to my blog. Before you go I would like to leave you with this thought

Birthday Critter

Hello Everyone,
I have had this wonderful little critter sitting in my stash for a little while waiting for the perfect project and I decided to use him on this one.

03 10 Birthday Critter

I had coloured in the critter from Bugaboo quite a while ago but I didn’t colour in the balloon. I didn’t know what paper I would be putting him on and I thought that having the balloon co-ordinate with the paper would be a good tie in. And if you have visited my blog before you know that I love starting with a sketch and this is the one that started this card.

Stella Says 705

I saw this sketch come up in the beginning of the week but my plans went one way while my life went another. But I did get to sit down and finish off this card. So once I had settled on the paper pack I was going to work with I finished colouring in the image and put some grass around the little fellas feet with my Copic markers. Then I put the card together and used my shaped scissors for the scalloped border.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project. I really appreciate all of the likes, comments and visits to my blog. And before you go I would like to leave you with this thought

Purple Birthday Greetings

Hello Everyone,
I was able to make a 2nd card for the Stella Says Sketch Challenge but it is also suitable for the Shopping Our Stash Challenge – Fabulous February celebrating everything about February which includes it having Violets and Amethyst all Purple things 🙂

If you have been a visitor of my blog for a while you will know that I love working with sketches. But you may not also realise that I also love Purple as well so this challenge came in perfectly. So this is the card I came up with when I combined the challenges.

Another image that I have had sitting in my container waiting for a card to be right for it. The colouring of the image drove the colour choice that I went with. I had this pack of 1 colour plus white details sitting in my paper pad stash. And this is the sketch from Stella

Stella Says 704

This time the whole card has gone portrait instead of landscape but everything was driven by the digi image from Bugaboo Digital Stamps. I used a birthday embossing folder for the top part of the sketch just to give a little interest to this area.

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my card project. I really appreciate the visits, likes and comments that I receive on my blog posts. Before you go I would like to leave you with this thought

So true
