Some Bunny Loves Mum

Hello everyone, yes another card made for Mum and also more of my stash used up.

01 29 Mum2

But if you looked at my stash you wouldn’t think that I had made a dent in it. The box is still looking quite full. This card started with the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches #539.

As I was uploading the photo I noticed that I got the striped paper a little crooked oh well not much I can do about that now. But aren’t these bunnies adorable! I found them in my stash as I was searching for images to use for this card. These 2 are coloured in with my Copic Markers and cut out by hand. My Gemini Jnr took care of cutting out the 2 circles.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project today. Before you depart my blog I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

Frozen Shoulder is no fun. Having steroid injection tomorrow so there is hope for improvement.

Until my next post,
Look after yourself.

Mothers Day

Hello everyone, yes I know that Mothers Day isn’t for quite a while. But when you donate cards to places you have to be crafting ahead of time. So since this is my next donation you are going to be seeing some of my creations for this wonderful day.

Tuesday Morning Sketch #538

This card started with this sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. I am not sure where I got this image from but I have had it for years and use it quite often for Mothers Day or New Baby cards. This time around I decided to leave it black and white because I thought it was a great contrast to the pink of the card.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card creation today. Before you depart my blog I would like to leave you with this last thought for this post.

Until my next post,
Don’t apologise for your illness.

Vase of Flowers

Hello, everyone, I am wondering if you are like me and love to use up supplies that have been sitting in your stash for a while? I know that I love getting to use images or papers that have been in my stash for a while. And this card I got to dig in my stash and use some of it up 🙂

01-11-vase-of-flowers.jpg

This image has been sitting in my image box for I don’t know how long but the colours in it co-ordinated so well with this paper pack that I have been working my way through … it was just meant to be together. This card started with a sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches #536

I had so much fun creating with this sketch. The next time I use it though I hope to add the element around the sentiment but this time around I am fighting my body pain so I created it as I could. All of the main elements have been layered with brown lightweight card.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project. I am glad that you stopped by before you depart my blog I would like to leave you with this last thought to ponder.

Until my next post,

Tripping Birthday

Hello everyone, here is a kind of different birthday card. This card was made for a dear friend of ours. He loves anything with a motor so I had this wonderful car stamp in my stash.

12-06-green-car.jpg

The inspiration for this card started with a sketch #532 from Tuesday Morning Sketches.

As you can see on the sketch there is a bow but I didn’t think that this would suit a masculine card. So in place of the bow, I stamped 2 arrows from the stamp set and offset them from each other above circle cut-out. Behind the circle cut out area I used a stencil “Woodgrain” by Tim Holtz with 2 brown Distress Inks and my brush tool. Just so that this area has a little definition.

Thanks for stopping in to look at my card project. I hope that you enjoyed your time visiting my blog. Before you depart please let me leave you with this thought for this post.

Until my next post,
May you find time to let your imagination run wild!

Well Made Anniversary

Hello everyone, today I am here to share with you a card that I have made for a wonderful couple that I know. I tried to make a card that would suit both of them because they like different things.

10 13 Well Made Anniversary

Can you tell what they love to do? This card started with a sketch inspiration from Tuesday Morning Sketches #524. It stumped me for a while and the card doesn’t follow this sketch …

… 100% but I am happy with how it turned out. I definitely didn’t get as many strips of patterned paper in the background, my calculations went wrong but I still liked how many I got. And I couldn’t undo because I was sticking as I was cutting so that I didn’t get my strips out of order 🙂

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project today. I really appreciate you stopping by and all of the comments and likes that my posts have been receiving. And as always before you go I would like to leave you with this last thought to ponder on.

Aussie Birthday

Hello everyone, a birthday card with some Aussie friends on it. I have a wonderful paper pad from Kasiercraft that I am slowly using up because I love it so much and don’t want it to disappear quickly. This is the card I made with it.

10 06 Kooka Birthday

This card was inspired by a card sketch by the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge. Their sketch TMS#523 started this card off. And this is that sketch

I had a lot of fun creating with this sketch. I think that it will end up in my favourites pile for me to reuse at some stage. The 6X6 paper pad is called Open Road by Kasiercraft it is Australiana themed and I may have more than 1 pad in my stash 😉 It is unusual to find a paper pad for my country.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card project today. I appreciate all of the comments and likes on my posts. Before you go I would like to leave you with this last thought to ponder on.

Until next time, make the most of the life you are living,
❤ Tracy

Happy Bird-day

Hello everyone, today I have gone right out of my comfort zone and I have made a one layer card. I definitely don’t do this style I love my layers but I have popped the one layer panel up on some foam for a little dimension.

09 27 Happy Bird

The reason I went down this route is because of the post by Melissa who made the sketch this week at Tuesday Morning Sketch #522. She said that for this sketch she saw it as a one layer card. So I decided to see if I could make this sketch …

… into a one layer card. I am really happy with how this turned out and I actually had a lot of fun conceiving how to make this happen. I used a bird layering stamp outline and made a mask first. I used a Tim Holtz Stencil called ‘Leafy’ with 2 Distress Ink colours called Crushed Olive and Mowed Lawn. I applied the ink with my new ink blending brushes, I am loving using these on stencils. After the stenciling was finished I then used the layering stamps to finish up the bird. Then I finished the card off by popping the panel up on foam and layering it on some dark blue cardstock and a card base.

I am happy that you decided to stop by and see my card project. Also, thanks for all of the comments and likes on my projects because I appreciate it. Before you go I would like to leave you with this last thought to ponder on.

No place like home

Until next time, find your happy and spend some time doing it,
