Cards and Yarn

Hello everyone, today is day 6 of the Catch the Bug: Holiday Critter Chaos Challenge. And this time around its a colour challenge. And I just loved the combo that they chose.

This photo below made me so happy for a few different reasons. The colour combo is purple – which I LOVE!!. The photo is of yarn and when I am not making cards you can usually find me playing with yarn. I buy yarn from stores but I also spin my own as well. My card photo features a half spun bobbin of purple shaded yarn which I haven’t completed yet.

Bugaboo Holiday Critter Chaos Challenge Day 6 – Colour Challenge.

For my card, I used some bauble stamps from my collection and stamped them over the background in colours which were as close as I could get to the challenge colours. The polar bear with his scarf was coloured in with my copics. I was able to add the mustard yellow here as I didn’t have ink in this colour. I fussy cut the image but going closer near his hands and feet so that he could sit nearer to the sentiment sticker.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my Day 6 Critter card. Before you depart I would like to leave you with this last thought for the post.

Jumpers And Jazz 2018

Hello Everyone,
I am sharing with you today my travels with my Ipswich Spinners and Weavers Group to the Warwick Jumpers and Jazz Festival.  This festival is held at the end of July each year and a feature of course is the Jumpers …. but it’s not quite what you are thinking!!

The “Jumpers” are worn by Trees, Lamp Posts, Street Signs, Statues …. basically anything that would stand still. Well actually most of the people were wearing them as well because the morning did start off cool but warmed up despite it only being the end of July in Australia.

My husband came with me for the bus trip and we plan on coming back to Warwick when there isn’t a festival going on.  We love visiting historical towns and seeing their architecture.  Plus places out the West of Queensland need our tourist dollars – they are struggling so much because of the drought that doesn’t look to be ending any time soon.

And here is my favourite yarn installation of the day

Now here are the rest of the photos from the lovely day we had
