Card Project, Cards and Craft, Challenge Entry

Birthday Wishes

Hello Everyone. As I write this I am away for a couple of days with family but it is very wet because we have a cyclone called Seth that has turned into a rain depression sitting just off the coast. Hopefully, we will get some periods of dry weather so that we can enjoy some time outside. For now, though I am using the craft supplies that I have brought on camp with me 🙂

But onto my card making. This card I got to make just before we departed for camp and I still wanted to share it so I took a photo and uploaded it to my computer before we left.

I am here with a design using a card sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. Their design team is taking a look back at previous sketches and we have this one to use in our creations.

This time around I decided to turn the sketch on its side to suit the image that I found in my stash. But this is something that I love about sketches they can be used in different orientations to suit the supplies that you are working with.

These papers were the last from the paper pad that I was trying to finish off. I didn’t like the plain design of the main paper so I went to my stencil supply and found this net design. Then I went to my drawer of distress inks and pulled out my Dried Marigold and a blending brush. This helped this paper be more cohesive with my image of the fishing village. Everything was matted with dark blue layering weight paper and to finish off the card I added some Ebony Black Nuvo Drops with a sentiment from the Black & White A5 Sentiment Sheets from Paper Rose Studios.

Thanks for stopping in and looking at my card design. I hope that you have found this post helpful and I hope that you will have some time today to be crafty – I plan to be. Before I go here is my final thought for this post.

Until my next post,
Be Kind to Yourself and Others.

  1. Tracy you did a wonderful job on this I love the image and the net design stencil you used — they’re perfect for each other! Thanks so much for creating with us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches.
